Etiquette
RESPECT for the gym and other climbers is essential to an enjoyable experience. Ways to show respect are by keeping noise to a minimum, we’re trying to foster an environment of community development and socialising, but mindfulness of other climbers is important, too. Keeping the space clean – whether that’s by keeping your belongings in an allocated area or by notifying staff about hazards on or around the walls. It should go without saying, but respect for other climbers in general is paramount. Keep things light and positive – we’re all climbing for self-improvement!
OBSERVE THE RULES set out by gym management. Keeping climbing spaces free of clutter like water bottles and chalk bags makes for safer sending. Make sure to follow the gym’s instructions on where to store your gear and make sure you put all rubbish in the bins provided. Make sure to listen to our safety brief before your first climb for more in depth rules, or speak with a team member.
Be SUPPORTIVE! Everyone loves positive feedback on a hard-earned send, or even when they make a high point. Climbing has one of the most supportive communities around, and we want to keep building on that and make Cutloose a quality place to spend your time.
COMMUNICATION Check with other climbers before jumping on a climb. Always make sure you check where your intended route goes in case it crosses over another climb – we don’t want to waste any flash attempts because we weren’t paying attention.
still not sure? have a week free on us!
We don’t want you to miss out! First time climbers will receive a complimentary week of climbing valid from the date of their first paid session. Just ask our friendly staff to get started.
